The Bently Nevada 3500/50-01-00-02 is a dual-channel Tachometer Module designed for the 3500 Series Machinery Monitoring System. This module accepts inputs from proximity probes or magnetic pickups to measure shaft rotational speed, rotor acceleration, and direction. It compares these measurements against user-configurable alarm setpoints and generates alarms when thresholds are violated. Configured using the 3500 Rack Configuration Software, the module offers four operational modes:

  • Speed Monitoring with Setpoint Alarming and Speed Band Alarming

  • Speed Monitoring with Setpoint Alarming and Zero Speed Notification

  • Speed Monitoring with Setpoint Alarming and Rotor Acceleration Alarming

  • Speed Monitoring with Setpoint Alarming and Reverse Rotation Notification

The 3500/50-01-00-02 can also supply conditioned Keyphasor® signals to the backplane of the 3500 rack for use by other monitors, eliminating the need for a separate Keyphasor module. Additionally, it features a peak hold function that stores the highest speed, highest reverse speed, or number of reverse rotations the machine has reached, with the ability to reset these peak values.
